DAVIE - Dolphins offensive lineman Rex Hadnot has been moved from starting center to starting guard, coach Cam Cameron announced after practice today.

"He's our right guard," Cameron said simply.

Hadnot began his career with the Dolphins as a right and left guard in 2004 but started the last 19 games at center after moving there for the final three games of 2005. He played guard for his first three years in college at Houston before playing center his senior season.

"Rex Hadnot can be as good a guard as I've been around, and that's a big plus for us," Cameron said. "If that light comes on there, look out, because we'll have us a heck of a player at right guard."

Hadnot joins left tackle Vernon Carey, left guard Chris Liwienski, right tackle L.J. Shelton and either Johnathan Ingram or rookie Samson Satele at center on the starting offensive line.

Four different Dolphins played right guard last year: Bennie Anderson, Kendyl Jacox, Damion McIntosh and Shelton, who started the last 11 games at that position.

Staff writer Harvey Fialkov contributed to this report.
