The Dolphins signed two sons of Hall of Fame athletes Thursday in safety David Lofton and receiver Michael Malone. Lofton and Malone, both undrafted college free agents, worked out for the Dolphins at the (May 4-6) minicamp on a tryout basis and evidently impressed coach Cam Cameron enough to warrant a contract. Lofton, 23, son of Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame receiver James Lofton, played four years at Stanford and notched 82 tackles and a sack. Malone, 23, son of NBA Hall of Fame center Moses Malone, played his final two collegiate seasons at Sam Houston State, where he totaled 38 receptions for 446 yards and five touchdowns. Malone, who is 6-3 and about eight inches shorter than his illustrious father, spent his first three years at Virginia Tech before transferring.
